Professors and members of the GCM presented the state of the art in materials analysis techniques. Throughout the day, the participants enjoyed the emphasis put on applications and innovative solutions that materials analysis can bring to their industrial issues. Many presenters from the industry showed how materials characterization helps them, on a daily basis, to solve many technical challenges and to improve the quality of their products.
AMSI2009 was characterized by the wide range of industrial sectors represented such as advanced materials, microelectronics, pulp and papers, optics and photonics as well as aerospace. “Comments from the participants clearly showed the relevance of an event focused on the industrial needs in materials analysis” stated Jean-Sébastien Tassé, organizer of the event and business development manager - industry for GCM Lab. “Given the outstanding response, we certainly plan to organize similar events in the future.”
